We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to lead kitchen operations for a private membership organization offering both a la carte and banquet dining. This position oversees menu creation, inventory, cost control, staffing, and event execution.
The Elks Lodge is Iowa City’s only private club with an outdoor swimming pool and an award-winning golf course. With over 900 members, we are one of the largest Elks Lodges in the state. The Elks Lodge is open to the public for meetings, private parties, and wedding receptions. Responsibilities include:
- Developing creative, seasonal menus.
- Overseeing all kitchen staff and scheduling.
- Ensuring quality, consistency, and sanitation standards.
- Managing budgets, food costs, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborating with management on events and member functions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years culinary leadership experience (club, restaurant, or catering).
- Proven ability to manage high-volume operations.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
